ISLAMABAD, March 16: Speaker of the National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain has appointed a three-member committee to re-constitute the National Assembly standing committees.

The decision was taken here on Tuesday during a meeting of National Assembly business advisory committee, says a press release. The meeting was presided over by the speaker. All the parliamentary parties, including the opposition, will be given representation in the standing committees, the press release said.

The committee would consist of Federal Minister for Law, Justice, Human Rights and Parliamentary Affairs Muhammad Raza Hiraj, Sardar Nasrullah Khan Dreshak and Political Assistant to the Prime Minister Rana Nazir Ahmed. Raza Hiraj told the committee that the ongoing NA session could be extended beyond schedule to dispose of the agenda satisfactorily.

He also informed the committee that the annual schedule of the National Assembly was under consideration. However, it would be brought before the committee so as to finalize it with its consent, he said.
