Karachi triumph

LAHORE, March 14: Stubborn batting by Hasan Raza and fine bowling by medium-pacer Tanvir Ahmed enabled Karachi beat Multan by 63 runs in the Quaid-i-Azam One-day Cup encounter at the Bahawalpur Stadium on Sunday.

Hasan contributed a useful 59 with the help of six fours and two sixes to help Karachi make 220 in 47 overs after slipping to eight for four. Tanvir then claimed three for 30 as Multan were bundled out for 157 in 38.2 overs.
