KARACHI, March 10: The Motorway police on Wednesday, shot dead a suspected car jacker and recovered the vehicle at Super Highway near Nooriabad. Motorway police said that they had received information about the car (ADL-007) being snatched from the Darakshan police limits.
During routine patrolling a Motorway police vehicle spotted the car near Nooriabad. As the police tried to stop the car by signalling it, its driver opened fire and tried to speed away. The police returned fire killing the occupant of the car identified as Ashiq Ali Khoso.
DIES: A young man died in controversial circumstances in Darakshan police limits. Police said that Abdul Latif, 22, a cook, received a gunshot in his chest.
The victim was a domestic servant at a custom's official house, police added. Police said that the body was found from the servant quarters of the house and pistol used in the killing belonged to the employer.
