LAHORE, May 18: An all-party conference is due to be held at the Lahore Press Club on Sunday to discuss in particular the situation after the April 30 referendum and tensions on Pakistan-India border.

The participants will also discuss what course of action should they adopt to mount pressure on the military regime to safeguard the national interests.

The demand for the formation of an interim government of national consensus and an autonomous and powerful election commission to ensure free and fair elections will also be made by the participants.

This will be the first time that the JUP of Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani will be taking part in the APC.
