HYDERABAD, May 18: In the ongoing campaign against outlaws, the Hyderabad region police have arrested four criminals and three absconders during the last 24 hours ending on Saturday night.

The Hyderabad district police arrested one criminal and recovered one rifle.

The Dadu police arrested two criminals and recovered two pistols, four rounds and two cartridges.

The Sanghar police arrested three absconders and one criminal and recovered one gun and 16 cartridges.

The Mirpurkhas police recovered two double barrel guns, three rifles, two guns, two rifles, one pistol, five mark rifles and one repeater.

One Toyota Datsun (WAD-086), 1989-90 model, was also recovered by the SHO of Chootyaron police station in Sanghar district.

DISTRICT NAZIM Hyderabad District Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman has taken notice of the alleged cruel behaviour of the teachers of the Noor Mohammad High School and directed the EDO (education) to conduct an inquiry and submit report within three days so that further action can be taken.

SPSC: The Sindh Public Service Commission, Hyderabad, on Saturday announced the names of eligible candidates who were interviewed by the commission for the posts of professors, associate professor and assistant professor in the Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) and in health department, Sindh.

The names of successful candidates for the KMDC are Dr Nuzhat Hassan, daughter of Shah Mohammad Hassan, for the post of professor of anatomy, BPS-20, Dr Khaleeque Ahmed Siddiqui, son of Mohammad Waris, for professor of orthopaedic surgery, BPS-20, Dr Kishwar Sultana, wife of Naseer Ahmed, for associate professor of forensic medicine, BPS-19, and Dr Shams Naeem Alam, son of Dr Abu Eusuf-Mahmudual Alam, for assistant professor of surgery, BPS-18.

The names of successful candidates for health department are Dr Zawar Hussain, son of Ghulam Qadir Khichi, and Dr Mohammad Akbar, son of D.D. Kazi, for the post of assistant professors forensic medicine, BPS-18.

The SPSC has recommended their names to the government for appointment against the posts.
