HYDERABAD, Feb 27: The parliamentary committee on water resources has scheduled a meeting at Karachi on March 6 to hear the point of view of Sindh on water distribution, sources told Dawn on Friday.

The meeting was earlier scheduled for Feb 10 and 11, but it was postponed perhaps due to the anti-greater Thal canal action committee rally and JSQM hunger strike unto death in Karachi.

The growers of Sindh are reported to have prepared Sindh's case which will be presented at the meeting. Those who have been invited to attend the meeting include, the president Sindh chamber of agriculture, Syed Qamaruzzaman Shah, president Sindh Abadgar Board, Majeed Nizamani, water expert and former senator Abdul Majeed and several journalists including Iqbal Mallah, Ata Rajar and others.
