JACOBABAD, Feb 26: A woman was injured when a landmine went off on the Sindh-Balochistan border at the RD-109, near the Bakhshapur town, on Thursday. The woman, whose name could not ascertained, moved over the landmine near the Khair Bux Girani village.

She was seriously injured and admitted to a Bakhshapur hospital. High alert: The police on Wednesday declared 19 places of the district as sensitive following the recovery of two bombs from the railway station area. DPO Din Mohammad Baloch told newsmen that strict measures had been taken and 19 places had been declared as sensitive.

Mr Baloch said these places included the railway station, bus stands, civil hospital, electricity grid station, telephone towers, railway towers, Sui gas pipes and other places. He said contingents of police and rangers had been deployed there to protect the essential assets.
