HARIPUR, Feb 26: Police on Tuesday sealed three factories that were making fake fertilizer in the Hattar Industrial Estate and registered cases against the owners, who escaped at the time of the raid.

The Hattar police had, on receiving reports about manufacture and sale of fake urea and DAP fertilizer by the Agro Services, Shadab Khadainand Shahbaz Fertilizers, collected samples and got them tested at the fertilizers lab of the Hattar Phosphate.

The results, according to the police, showed that the fertilizer products of the three units were fake as they lacked necessary ingredients and quality.

The police sealed the factories and registered cases against the owners, Malik Lutfur Rehman, Hakim Khan Rokri and Rana Hayat, under sections 419, 420 and 488 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
