ISLAMABAD, Feb 24: The chairman of Pakistan Steel, Lt-Gen (retired) Abdul Qayyum, has said early expansion in the existing capacity of Pakistan Steel is imperative to meet ever-rising demand of steel in the domestic market and to impart full-justice and fairness to dealers, traders and consumers of steel products.

He was talking to a large number of steel dealers from Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar, who came to the zonal sales office, Islamabad on the invitation of the chairman.

Gen Qayyum assured the dealers that a transparent system was being evolved wherein every dealer/consumer, whether small or big he was, should be considered on equal basis.

He termed the dealers and the management of Pakistan Steel as the joint custodians of this national assets. During question/answer session, the chairman assured that full justice would be given to all dealers in the allocation of material and their problems would be solved on priority basis in this regard.
