Hearing in Asif's appeal adjourned

RAWALPINDI, Feb 23: An accountability court on Monday adjourned the hearing of an appeal filed by Asif Zardari against his conviction in Steel Mills reference.

The two-member bench comprising Justice Maulvi Anwarul Haq and Justice Sardar Aslam conducted the hearing. Advocate Dr Babar Awan, the counsel for the defendant, argued for over an hour on the 18th day of hearing in the appeal.

Later, the hearing was adjourned till Wednesday. European Union dean Alexander Maria, Foreign Liaison Committee Pakistan People's Party member Palwasha Behram, and a large number of party activists attended the hearing.
