MIRPURKHAS, Feb 23: Frequent power breakdowns in Hirabad and Satellite town have affected business activities and caused disruption to water supply to the city. The power failure occurs daily for two to six hours apparently to adjust line losses, causing hardships to residents.

Residents alleged Hesco officials deliberately disconnected power supply to different parts whereas small industries including chakkis, oil speller, ice factories, flour mills remained closed during power failure. Power consumers demanded that Wapda chairman and Hesco chief executive should take notice of unscheduled power breakdown.
