ISLAMABAD, Feb 13: Pakistan holds on to its third place in the world One-Day cricket rankings but three other teams may be on the verge of replacing it. Pakistan has a rating of 107 as against 137 by Australia and 119 by South Africa.

However, Sri Lanka (also 107), England (106) and India (105) all are in a position to dislodge Pakistan from the third place. Australia's comfortable 2-0 victory in the final of the Triangular Series in Australia has enabled it to improve its rating at the top of the ODI Championship table to an incredible 137 points.

Its rating is now one point higher than when it won the Cricket World Cup in South Africa without losing a match, reflecting its continued dominance of the ODI game. India's record of five wins and five defeats in the series means that its rating is unchanged.

India went into the series in sixth place with a rating of 105 but though it climbed the table briefly after beating Australia in Brisbane, four successive defeats to the hosts ensured its rating was pegged back to its previous level by the end of the finals.
