PESHAWAR, Feb 13: Test players Yasir Hamid and Umar Gul said on Friday that they were preparing themselves to perform well against India and help Pakistan win the series.

Speaking at Meet-the-Press programme arranged by Peshawar Press Club in their honour, Yasir and Umar Gul said that they were looking forward to the forthcoming Indian visit.

"I would target master batsman, Sachin Tendulkar during the upcoming tour of India and I hope I would be able to get his wicket. It will be a great joy and success for me to get Sachin's prized wicket", said Umar.

The 28-year-old, Yasir believed that given the recent performances of Pakistan team, it can be safely said that the series would be "thrilling as well as entertaining".

Umar said that he was pleased to read in the newspapers that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was trying to contact bowling legend Wasim Akram to coach the bowlers.

"It's good news, as far as I am concerned, because I can learn a lot from the great bowler", he said. Later, both the players were awarded trophies by Malik Tajamul Hayat, director of the Institute of Computer and Management Science (ICMS), who was chief guest.
