LANDI KOTAL, Feb 8: The health department has planned to organize a series of free medical camps in all the three sub-divisions of Khyber Agency from Monday.

The agency administration will organize total 45 with the cooperation of Surgeon Dr Azeem Khan. Of these, 22 camps would be set up in the Bara sub-division while 23 in Jamrud and Landi Kotal sub-divisions.

Speaking to Dawn, Dr Azeem said the focus of these camps would be on needy patients of far-flung areas, like those of Tirah valley, Loe Shalman and Kam Shalman.

He said the health department would ensure provision of quality medicines to patients visiting the camps. Dr Azeem said the political administration had provided doctors with free transport facility to reach maximum number of patients, adding that to provide medical care to women and children of the far-flung areas, services of lady doctors had also been acquired.
