ISLAMABAD, Feb 6: Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri left for Germany on Friday to particpate in the 40th Munich Conference on Security Policy, an official handout said here.

On Feb 10, Mr Kasuri would proceed to Warsaw (Poland) and during his two-day stay there would hold talks with his Polish counterpart Wlodzimierz Comoszewiez.

The handout said after the conference, Mr Kasuri would travel to Berlin to meet German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer and Defence Minister Peter Struck.

In Warsaw, he will meet other Polish ministers and parliamentary leaders besides President Aleksander Kwasniewski. In Islamabad, The foreign minister said Pakistan could do nothing more beyond what has been done on the nuclear proliferation issue.

Referring to Pakistan's nuclear programme, Mr Kasuri said it was indigenous. The minister told BBC television on Friday the country had invested a lot in terms of money, energy and manpower. Pakistan, he said, was a responsible power and would "never allow this to happen in future again."

The country's nuclear programme was in safe hands, Kasuri said, adding Pakistan was prepared to be a responsible member of the international community. Mr Kasuri said, Pakistan government did not try to hide anything from international community.
