VEHARI, Feb 6: PML-N vice-president Tehmina Daultana said that the army led government was violating the basic rights of the people of Pakistan, particularly those of anti-government politicians.

She was addressing a public meeting held in the hockey ground on Friday afternoon. She condemned the arrest of PML-N acting president Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and debriefing of Pakistan's nuclear scientists.

Ms Daultana claimed that the government was trying to please their foreign masters. She said President Gen Musharraf had become a security risk for the country.

She said ARD would soon launch an anti-government movement. Punjab PML-N general secretary Khwaja Saad Rafiq, district president Zahid Anwar Wahla, MPA Tahir Iqbal, MPA Nazir Dogar and others also criticized the government policies.
