LAHORE, Feb 6: A butcher killed his divorced sister with the help of his brother-in-law, suspecting that she had illicit relations with a man, in Shadbagh on Friday.

Ghulam Kabeer told police that his daughter, Mafia (25), was divorced a couple of months ago and had started living with him in Yasrab Colony. He said his son Zikria and son-in-law Shahbaz suspected that she had relations with a man of their locality. He claimed that they asked her to mend her ways but to no avail.

On Friday, they stabbed and killed her following a quarrel over the issue. Zikria and Shahbaz later courted arrest and confessed to the crime.

CRUSHED: An unidentified man died after falling off a moving train near the Kot Lakhpat railway station on Friday. The 30-year-old man fell off the train accidentally and was crushed under its wheels. The railway police sent the body to the city morgue.

BURNT: A woman who had sustained burns a couple of days ago in Defence died at the Mayo Hospital on Friday. Rashidan Bibi (45) had burnt herself while cooking food at her house on Badian Road.

BODY FOUND: The body of a young girl was found in a sack in Sham Key Bhatian, Manga Mandi. Police said that an injury mark was found on the head. The body was sent to the mortuary for an autopsy.
