LAHORE, May 17: The Punjab government on Friday increased the monthly stipend for FCPS Part-II doctors from Rs4,000 to Rs6,200.
It was further decided that no doctor, serving in a teaching hospital to complete his/her FCPS Part-II, will work against a ‘unpaid seat.’
The Rs4,000 stipend was earlier being paid only to those FCPS Part-II students who were working against ‘paid seats.’ A large number of FCPS Part-II students were working against non-paid seats.
Health Minister Prof Mahmood Ahmad Chaudhry said the Finance Department had issued its advice in this regard. He said the governor had fulfilled his promise to the junior doctors.
