QUETTA, Jan 29: The Quetta valley and many parts of northern Balochistan received heavy snowfall paralyzing normal life, suspending vehicular traffic between the provincial metropolis and many cities and disrupting power supply on Thursday.

In the city, the snowfall started around 1.30am and continued till 9am without any break. The people of the valley witnessed such a heavy snowfall after a long time as Balochistan faced drought situation over five years.

According to reports reaching here, other towns and cities of northern Balochistan which received snowfall include: Ziarat, Kan Mehtarzai, Khanozai, Muslim Bagh, Kalat, Surab, Mastung, Kolpur, Pishin, Toba Achakzai, Toba Kakari, Kila Abdullah and Shell Bagh.
