PORT ELIZABETH, Jan 28: Boeta Dippenaar struck a workmanlike half-century as South Africa's batsmen struggled in the second one-day international against West Indies on Wednesday.
The hosts, 1-0 up in the five-match series, opted to bat first after winning the toss but were restricted to 179 for seven in their 50 overs, Dippenaar top-scoring with 83.
Dippenaar was South Africa's only top-order batsman to come to terms with a two-paced St George's Park pitch, suggesting West Indies will need to bat well to reach the victory target of 180 and square the series.
He was dismissed in the final over of the innings, caught in the deep off Corey Collymore after facing 123 balls and striking eight fours in his 19th one-day half century.
