HYDERABAD, May 17: In the on-going crackdown against criminals Hyderabad region police arrested nine absconders, six criminals, a patharidar and recovered five pistols, a single barrel gun, five live bullets, and 16 cartridges during the last 24 hours ending on Friday evening.

The region police also seized a car, a tractor, a motorcycle, and eight buffaloes under section 550 CrPC (suspected stolen property).

Kpp schemes: A meeting of the officers concerned was held here on Wednesday to resolve the billing and payment problems of contractors working on the development schemes under the Khushhal Pakistan Programme.

The meeting reviewed progress of the schemes and decided the payment of bills will be processed according to a time schedule on the completion of the work.
