HYDERABAD, Jan 26: The Makki Shah police have arrested a former supervisor of a private security agency and his accomplice for providing security services without a license.

The police also recovered illegal weapons from their possession. According to a statement handed over to journalists, when the Makki Shah SHO came to know about illegal arms trade in his area, he struck a deal with the former supervisor of Al-Fatah security services, Raja Khalid Shams, and security guard, Mohammad Ali.

The deal was to be finalized in the Makki Shah area which was surrounded by the plainclothesmen. When Shams arrived there, the police arrested him and brought him to the police station.

Later, Ali made a telephone call to the SHO, and introducing himself as Col Malik Fatah, told him to release Shams or face consequences. However, the call was traced and he was arrested near the Cantonment graveyard with a bag that contained weapons.

The accused told the police that the security agency had closed its business a long time ago but they were providing services although they did not have any license. The police said the weapons recovered from their possession were used in different criminal activities.
