KARACHI: Man shot dead; body found

KARACHI, Jan 23: A young man was shot dead by unknown persons in Sachal police limits on Friday. Police said that Munnawar Mustafa, 35, was standing outside his medical store, when unknown motorcyclists opened fire. Munnawar died on the spot while the killers escaped.

The victim was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The police suspected some personal enmity as a possible motive behind the killing.

BODY FOUND: The Landhi Railway police found an unidentified body at a platform on Friday morning. Police said that during patrol, they found the body on a bench at the platform.

The police also found three bottles of liquor and Rs700 with the body. The body was sent to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for the post-mortem examination, the police added.
