LAHORE, Jan 23: The Punjab government has reportedly decided not to invite Pakistan Television (PTV) to the coverage of its activities to "register its protest against the PTV cold shoulder."

Sources said during the last one week no coverage had been given to the Punjab in various PTV news bulletins, including Khabarnama.

They lamented that PTV did not give adequate projection to many development-oriented steps taken by the provincial government, including provision of houses to the government employees on their retirement, providing free-of-cost education up to matric level, allotting land to the landless peasants and granting Rs200 monthly stipend to schoolgirls. A senor official said the step had been taken as a last resort after PTV did not heed their complaints.-PPI
