CBR online job posting

ISLAMABAD, Jan 21: The Central Board of Revenue has decided to conduct internal job posting for the reform functions and selected field positions through online process as part of the restructuring of tax administration.

Member, Human Resource and Management, Zafar Aziz Osmani, told Dawn on Wednesday that the decision had been taken to reduce paper work, improve response time and enable officers of the CBR to learn to apply online in due course of time.

He said as a first step, from now on, all the posts would be advertized online. The details of posts, the application form and necessary instructions will be available at the CBR's website - www.cbr.gov.pk.

After reviewing the positions and evaluating job requirement match, the selection panel will interview shortlisted officers, he added. The member said that for the following job posting located at Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU), Karachi, application were invited online for consideration - collector, sales tax (Audit); commissioner of income tax (Audit); commissioner of income tax (Enforcement); additional collector, sales tax (Audit); additional collector, sales tax (TFD); additional collector, sales tax (A&P); additional commissioner of income tax (TFD); cost accountant; taxation officer (TFD); taxation officer (HRM); deputy collector, central excise; deputy collector (TFD); chief accounts officer; computer programmer, sales tax; assistant programmer, income tax; account officer; income tax officer; senior auditors 30 posts; administration officer; assistant accounts officer; data coder (income tax), two positions; data coder (sales tax) two positions.
