GUJRAT, Jan 20: An Anti-Terrorism Court of Gujranwala issued on Tuesday warrants for the arrest of nine nominated accused who had killed three expatriates of a family last month.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till Feb 20. A Lalamusa city police spokesman claimed that if the accused did not appear before the court on next hearing they would be declared proclaimed offenders.

Munawar Dhola and his sons Ghulam Hur and Qasim were shot dead by the accused over a minor dispute in Lalamusa on Dec 5. Chaudhry Munawar's son Yasir had nominated nine men and their six unidentified accomplices as accused in the FIR lodged with the Lalamusa police.

Waqar Haider (alias Qari Shah), was declared the principle accused in the FIR. Waqar is a son of former district Naib Nazim Syed Noorul Hasan Shah and a nephew of ex-MNA Syed Manzoor Shah of the PML-Q. The other eight nominated accused are Amir Abbas, Naeem Shah, Ashfaq, alias Shaqi, Amir Lohar, Mukhtiar Ahmad, Mustansar, Rauf and Zafar.

NO CLUE TO KILLERS: Sarai Alamgir police have yet to find a clue to the criminals who killed a resident of Dhori village for not paying ransom.

Amin was kidnapped by proclaimed offenders Habib, Ishtiaq, Abdul Aziz and Abdul Majeed some days ago. The kidnappers demanded ransom for the release of Amin but the family could not arrange the money. Later, Amin was found murdered.
