SUKKUR: 15 suspects arrested

SUKKUR, Jan 19: The Kandhra police arrested 15 suspects on Monday following the killing of a police constable and kidnapping of an ASI and a teacher by bandits on Saturday.

This was said by the area SHO while trying to pacify over 500 protesters, led by Kandhra Union Council Nazim Allah Wassayo Buriro and others, who surrounded the police station to protest against the incident.

He said the police had got a clue to the accused and they would be arrested in 24 hours. The SHO said the arrested people included those whose boats were used by the bandits.

The bandits had killed constable Mohammad Usman Soomro and kidnapped teacher Abdul Sattar and ASI Asghar Ali of the Jhangro police station.-BoC
