KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18: Kuwait airport authorities have arrested three Pakistanis for allegedly attempting to smuggle 222 capsules of heroin hidden in their stomachs.

Acting on a tip-off about a heroin smuggling attempt, Air Customs Controller Sulaiman Al Fahed ordered a thorough inspection of all the passengers on the Lahore-Kuwait flight.

Three passengers - Ghulam Saja, Arshad Iqbal and Ahmad Iqbal - were picked out as suspects. All the three were travelling on forged passports. The authorities referred them to hospital, where scanning revealed the contraband in their stomachs.
