KARACHI: Teenager commits suicide

KARACHI, Jan 18: A teenage boy committed suicide by setting himself on fire in Saeedabad on Sunday. Police said that Abdul Shakoor, 15, was scolded by his parents for returning home late in the night.

The police, quoting the victim's family, said that the young boy locked himself in his room and set himself on fire. The police described the teenager as mentally ill suffering from depression.

ARRESTED: The Boat Basin police on Sunday arrested three suspects wanted in over a dozen cases of armed robberies. Boat Basin police station SHO said three suspects identified as Tony Peter, Pitras Peter and Mahmood Bhatti, were arrested near Hashoo Terrace, Block-5, Clifton, when they were roaming around in the area.

Two TT pistols and a revolver were recovered from them andcases against the suspects were registered at Gizri, Darakshan, Frere, Saddar, Gadap police stations, police claimed.
