ISLAMABAD, Jan 15: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in its ongoing campaign against encroachers has so far demolished 668 illegal houses at Noorpur Shahan (Muslim Colony).

Sources at the enforcement directorate said that the CDA had already provided alternative plots to the kutchi abadi dwellers of Noorpur Shahan at Alipur Farash; however, the encroachers were occupying the authority's property illegally.

The officials said the remaining illegal houses would also be removed soon and the people would be accommodated in Alipur Farash. Meanwhile, the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) continued its anti-encroachment campaign in different sectors of the city and demolished illegal houses.

It also demolished khokas at different areas of federal capital, including Alipur Farash, Khana Pul and Park Road and Taramari Chowk. Similarly, encroachers in sector I-10 were booked and two trucks of material were confiscated.

The DMA also continued its anti-encroachment campaign in sectors G-11, F-11, F-8 and G-8. The CDA officials said the authority would continue its anti- encroachment drive in different sectors of the capital till elimination of encroachments.-APP
