NRAP names trainees

KARACHI, Jan 14: National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) on Wednesday named 46 shooters to attend the first phase of training camp the 9th SAF Games to be held at Islamabad from March 29.

The first phase of training camp which is already in progress at Naval Shooting Range will conclude on Jan 25. The second round of trials will be held the same day after which 30 to 35 probables will be picked for the second round trials. Ukrainian coaches Viktor Sivkov and Alexander Kaminiski are supervising national training camp. Following have been picked for first phase of training camp.

Rifle (Men): Ayaz Tahir, Hanif Khan, Shahid Inam, Dawood Jan, Rahman Shahzad, Firdous Khan, Tufail, M. Kaleem, Waseem Sajjad.

Rifle (Women): Nazish Khan, Nadia Saeed, Urooj Fatima, Naheed Akhtar, Sajida Sharif, Nosheen Khan.

Pistol (Men): Irshad Ali, Zahid Ali, Kashif Riaz, M. Abbas, Mustaqeem Shah, Afsar Khan, M. Boota, Sajid Iqbal, Idrees Rashid, Ghazanfar Abbas, Tariq Manzoor, Arshad Awam, Mehboob Tabassum.

Pistol (Women): Farhat Nasreen, Azra Nazeer, Shagufta Zulfiqar, Abida Noreen Naureen Tabassum, Zubaida.

Shotgun: S.A. Noor, Usman Sadiq, Nunir Husain, Sikandar Javed, Fakharul Islam, Mahmood Sultan, Babar Baig, M. Shafiq, Ahmed Sultan, Amin Karamat, Ahmed Usman, Khurram Inam.-APP
