ISLAMABAD, Jan 13: The Supreme Court Bar Association has demanded that the government should implement the recommendation of the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) to repeal the Hudood laws.
The SCBA, in its meeting on Monday, considered the issue and passed a resolution demanding that Hudood laws should be repealed as recommended by the NCSW.
The resolution said that as the government had itself appointed the NCSW and its special committee examined the Hudood laws therefore the recommendation should be implemented and the discriminatory laws should be erased from the statutes.
