LAHORE, Jan 9: Dacoits took away Rs5 million in cash and valuables from the house of an MNA in Gulberg on Friday.

PML-Q's Shamim Haider told police that six gun-toting men burst into his house and held up the guard and family members. They tied them up and locked them in a room.

The miscreants collected cash, gold jewellery and valuables worth Rs5 million and escaped, the MNA said.

The police, however, registered a case of Rs3.5 million dacoity. Foot, finger prints and other forensic evidence was collected from the scene of crime with no arrest.
