DHAKA, Jan 8:Three activists of the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF), a militant group fighting for "complete autonomy" of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) region, were gunned down on Thursday in Rangamati district.

The convener of the Rangamati UPDF, Shachib Chakma, at a press briefing accused the Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samiti (PCJSS), the biggest party representing the ethnic minorities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, of killing the three members of his party.
