Zimbabwe beaten

PERTH, Jan 4: Powerful knocks by Western Australian batsmen Murray Goodwin and Scott Meuleman saw the home side cruise to a 70-run win over a lacklustre Zimbabwe in a day-night match here Sunday.

The defeat was a bitter blow for the tourists, who had narrowly defeated an Australia 'A' team at the same venue in their opening tour match on Thursday.
