HYDERABAD, Dec 31: DPO A.D.Khwaja here on Wednesday, in exercise of the powers conferred on him vide article 122(1) of the Police Order 2002, prohibited carrying of arms throughout the district for two days.

The banned arms include guns, cudgels, swords, spears, knives, sticks or any other articles, including corrosive substance or explosives and stones, capable of being used for causing physical violence. Violation of the order is punishable with maximum two years imprisonment with a maximum fine of Rs100,000 or both.

DOCTORS: House officers, working on deputation at the Civil Hospital of Karachi, held a demonstration here on Tuesday against the non-payment of their four-month stipend.
