SHEIKHUPURA, May 14: Two police officials were suspended from service on Tuesday on the charge of dereliction of duty.
They are; Mandi Faizabad former SHO Rashid Gujjar and ASI Afzaal posted at Muridke.
An inquiry against the officials was initiated by the SSP and they were found guilty.
LIQUOR SEIZED: Mananwala police arrested an alleged bootlegger and recovered a huge quantity of local made liquor from the Panwan area.
Police said Sharif was supplying liquor in the area. They also took into custody distillery and other material.
RAPE: A housewife was raped allegedly by an influential landlord in Ferozwala on Tuesday.
Victim ‘A’ was alone when accused Riasat forced his entry into her house and raped her at gunpoint.
Ferozwala police have lodged FIR on the complaint of victim’s husband.
