PESHAWAR, Jan 18: Shop of a local faith healer was blown up by unknown miscreants here on Sunday night.

The incident happened on Circular road in the interior city, near Yakatoth area of Peshawar. Witnesses said that an improvised explosive device, planted by miscreants, exploded with a loud noise causing panic in the entire area.

While the blast badly damaged three shops and nearby parked rickshaw, no casualty was reported in the incident.

The faith healer was running business in two adjacent shops situated on the ground floor of a two-storey building, housing residential quarters in the upper storey.

An official of the concerned C-Division police station told Dawn that the faith healer, Pir Haji Niaz Ali, used the shops as his office where people used to visit him for getting amulets and spiritual treatment. —Bureau Report
