KARACHI, Jan 16: A lady doctor was shot at and wounded in a cellphone snatching attempt in the limits of Zaman Town police station on Friday night.

Hospital sources said that Dr Lubna was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre with a gunshot wound.

The suspects shot at the lady doctor when she reportedly resisted the snatching attempt near her house. She was being provided treatment at the JPMC.

However, when asked, a duty officer of the Zaman Town police station drew a blank over the incident, saying that they were yet to receive any such information.

Sources at the hospital described his condition as critical.
