KARACHI: Deposed CJ due on 17th

KARACHI, Jan 14: Lawyers will accord a warm welcome to the deposed chief justice of Supreme Court, Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, upon his arrival at the airport on Jan 17.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, KBA president Mohammad Ali Abbassi and general-secretary Naeem Qureshi said that the deposed chief justice would be the chief guest at the oath-taking ceremony of KBA’s newly-elected office-bearers scheduled for the day on the city court premises. SCBA president Ali Ahmed Kurd, Aitzaz Ahsan and other senior lawyers had also been invited, they added.—Staff Reporter
