LAHORE, Jan 13: A 26-year-old man was poisoned to death allegedly by his second wife and her relatives in Samsani locality in Hanjarwal police precincts on Tuesday.

SHO Arshad Kanju said Ashraf, a labourer belonging to Khizarabad, Baghbanpura, was staying with his second wife, Saba, in the Samsani locality. He was taken to Jinnah Hospital by his wife and her relatives in unconscious condition. He said the Hanjerwal police were informed by the Jinnah Hospital police check post officials about the incident.

The SHO said though the autopsy would determine the exact cause of death, they had registered a case against Saba, her sister Arbad, Ghulam Husain, Jameel and Munawwar on the complaint of Ashraf’s brother, who alleged that his brother had been poisoned.—Staff Reporter
