NBP announces hockey team

KARACHI, Jan 12: National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has announced its squad for the forthcoming 56th National Hockey Championship to be played at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore, from Jan 21 to Feb 8.

Iqbal Qasim, divisional head, Sports and Culture Division, NBP, announced on Monday the 18-member squad which will also be accompanied by three officials.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Salman Akbar, Fasih-ur-Rehman.

Fullbacks: Zeeshan Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Atiq.

Halfbacks: Sumair Saleem, Junaid Iqbal, Asim Khan, Sibtain Raza, Kashif Javed.

Forwards: Yasir Shabbir, Mohammad Taufiq, Waseem Khan, Tariq Aziz, Akhtar Ali, Ammar Ishrat, Naeem Akbar, M. Rizwan.

Officials: Rehman Khan (manager), Anwar Farooqui (coach), Abuzar Umrao (goalkeeping coach).
