Two policemen arrested

ISLAMABAD, Jan 11: Two policemen were arrested for illegally detaining two persons on Sunday.

Sabzi Mandi police were informed that a head constable and constable had detained two persons in a room in Ameer Market.

They raided the room and recovered the persons from there and also arrested the policemen. A case was registered against them on the complaint of Sabzi Mandi SHO.

The police said the officials had picked up the persons on suspicion of being involved in criminal activities. During interrogation they claimed that the persons were pick-pockets. The police said instead of bringing them to the police station the personnel detained them in a room. —Staff Reporter
