MIRPURKHAS, Jan 11: A man was stabbed to death and five other people were injured in an attack in the Jarwari Shakh area near here on Sunday.

Some people attacked Dr Mohammad Ramzan Rajput, his sons and relatives with daggers and sticks. Dr Ramzan, his sons Shadab, Nasir Ali, Mohammad Riaz and Iftikhar Ali and relative Mohammad Akbar were injured.

They were taken to the Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas where Dr Ramzan died.

Nasir Ali and Mohammad Riaz told this correspondent that some people wanted to occupy their shop. On Sunday morning, armed people attacked their father Mohammad Ramzan. When they reached there, they were also attacked.

Akbar has lodged a case under section 302, 324, 147, 148 and 149, PPC, with the Satellite town police against Aslam, Liaquat, Saleem, Fazal Kareem, Barkat and Shahid alias Mitho. The police have arrested the accused.

Meanwhile, two men were injured when two cars collided head on at Abdullah More near Phuladyoon on Sunday.
