PFF U-13 Youth Cup from Saturday

LAHORE, Jan 7: The top teams from four centres will qualify for the upcoming National Under-13 Festival of Football, when the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) U-13 Youth Cup kicks off at 11 venues, simultaneously, from Jan 10 to 19.

The venues selected for hosting the week-long event are Chaman, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Nowshera, Bannu, Lahore, Sargodha, Karachi, Sahiwal and Faisalabad.

There are 27 national associations that receive financial support from AFC in order to promote football at the grassroots in Pakistan. This time the event would also see the inclusion of a new outfit — Sialkot Blues.

The event will be played in two phases:

PRELIMINARY PHASE

Sahiwal Zone: Sahiwal, Chichawatni (winner to enter Faisalabad Centre).

Quetta Zone: Quetta Red, Quetta Yellow, Chaman (winner to enter Karachi Centre).

Islamabad Zone: Rawalpindi, Islamabad (winner to enter Peshawar Centre).

FINAL PHASE

Faisalabad Centre: Faisalabad Red, Faisalabad Green, Faisalabad White.

Karachi Centre: Karachi White, Jacobabad, Karachi Yellow, Karachi Green, Karachi Red.

Peshawar Centre: Nowshera, Dir, Peshawar White, Peshawar Red, Bannu, Peshawar Green.

Lahore Centre: Lahore Red, Sialkot Green, Lahore White, Lahore Green, Sargodha, Sialkot Blue.
