QUETTA, Jan 7: Two Turk and two Azeri nationals were arrested in a village near the Pakistan-Iran border in Pangur district on Wednesday.
Police said the four suspects had been picked up from the Kalag area. They were without travel documents and had entered Pakistan through an infrequently used route.
They were identified as Dina and Ali (Turkish nationals), Gharban and Ambia (from Azerbaijan).
“Foreign currency, CDs and religious literature were found in their possession,” sources said. But security officials were finding it difficult to interrogate them because they spoke neither English nor Urdu.
According to sources, security forces had found a laptop and some literature last week in a vehicle which had been abandoned by some foreigners after a heavy exchange of fire.
