Robbers injure car occupant

LAHORE, Jan 7: Robbers shot at and injured a car rider and escaped empty-handed near the first interchange of Motorway-II in the limits of Hanjarwal police on Wednesday.

Police said Atif was going by his car when four armed men signalled him, but he ignored it and accelerated the vehicle.

The robbers opened fire on the car and Atif received two bullets. The robbers fled from the scene while the injured man was taken to Jinnah Hospital.

Four gun-toting men came to Rasco Pharma (Ptv) Ltd of Rasheed situated on 5.5km on Raiwind Road in the limits of Chuhng police, snatched a pump action from the watchman and drove away with the company’s mini-truck.

Two robbers deprived Naseeruddin of Rs15,000, a cell phone and his pick-up in Shahdara Town, while three armed men robbed Nasir Baig of Rs30,000 in cash and two cell phones in the same area.

Three robbers looted Rs50,000 and a cell phone from Sajjad in Islampura.

Two armed men stopped three Azadars at Bansanwala Bazaar Chowk and looted Rs32,000 and three cell phones.

Bilal was robbed of Rs13,000 and a cell phone on Vandala Road in Shahdara, while Ajmal Khan was deprived of Rs10,000 and a cell phone in Old Anarkali.
