OKARA, May 13: Under new police reforms, at least 5,000 constables will be recruited in the province.
This was stated by Sheikhupura Range DIG Tariq Saleem Dogar here on Monday.
He said the public complaints of delay in investigation and the absence of policemen at police stations would come to an end with the separation of investigation and watch and ward.
Public Safety Commissions at district and province levels would help keep the check and balance system and the impeachment of policemen, he added.
