MITHI, Jan 6: The federal government is taking measures to improve the performance of radio stations to provide radio listeners with recreation.
This was stated by the director-general of the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, Murtaza Solangi, during a visit to the FM radio station here on Tuesday.
The official said that the government was using all its resources for the uplift of FM radio stations so as to extend the range of their transmission.
He said that the PBC was considering installing a powerful transformer at the FM radio Mithi for its medium wave programmes and the Sindh government had been moved to construct a new building of Mithi radio at Gadhi.
PROTEST: Members of the Sindh Para-Veterinary Staff Association, district Tharparkar chapter, took out a rally for the promotion of six grade employees to grade eleven. The participants of the rally also observed a token hunger strike in front of the press club for the acceptance of their demand.
