HYDERABAD: Sensitive areas

HYDERABAD, Jan 6: Around 47 areas have been declared sensitive areas in Hyderabad during Ashura and security has been tightened in other areas whereas entry of 14 speakers has been banned in the district.

Hyderabad DPO Ghulam Nabi Memon chaired a meeting of police officers to review security arrangements in the city particularly in the areas where a large number of Majalis are held and on the routes of mourning processions.

According to police, officials of bomb disposal squad (BDS) are scanning areas of Majalis and routes of mourning processions.
